Assist with loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring that items are properly secured and handled with care. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. Maintain accurate records of inventory, including quantities, locations, and any discrepancies. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth operations. Responsible for completing all HACCP forms. Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness . Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during operations. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations. Keep updated with relevant industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in a Warehouse/Airline catering environment. A Valid Driver's License (Class C) The ability to meet requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ (Port Authority), Port ID (per TSA regulations and more specifically, 49 CFR §1542.209). Proven experience as a delivery driver or warehouse driver is preferred. Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. Must be able to read and write in English. Excellent driving skills and ability to operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required . Intellectual/Social demands: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.
