Job Description: Loading, transporting, and delivering to customers or businesses safely and on time daily. Maintain a clean food storage space, regularly clearing space of expired, old, or spoiled food. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and handling complaints from customers. Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are completed. Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries. Responsible for ensuring refrigerated delivery truck or van works properly, scheduling required maintenance, and reporting repairs when needed. Operating equipment and machines like cars, vans, trucks, and forklifts. Report gas mileage weekly/monthly and submit company credit card receipts for records and expense report purposes. Other duties as assigned by Managers. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Other: Valid driver's license issued by CA-DMV. Clean driving record. A special license may be required to operate certain vehicles. Experience: 2-5 years of driving experience in Southern California. Technical Skills: Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Strong time management and customer service skills. Knowledge of Southern California geography. Ability to navigate when driving local or freeway routes in different cities. Non-Technical Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to exercise good judgment. Physical Demands: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision includes standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing. Specific vision includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions: The work environment includes both office and production plant settings. In the production area, employees may encounter wet or humid conditions (non-weather-related), extreme cold, and heat (non-weather-related).
