JOB SUMMARY
Merits Health Products, Inc. is the U.S. headquarters for a medical mobility device manufacturer, and we are looking for a Warehouse Manager
with solid understanding of a manufacturing environment to join our growing team. This position will be located in Nevada is responsible for planning the layout of the stock room, warehouse, and other storage areas, with consideration to turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored. Managing and coordinating the activities of warehouse technician with ordering, receiving, storing, inventory control, shipping, supplies, tools and parts in the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plans layout of stock room, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored.
* Advises warehouse staff on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock and related problems.
* Analyses records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving and excess stock.
* Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels, in direct coordination with Logistics Manager.
* Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
* Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
* Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
* Compiles and prepares reports from individual reports from staff.
* Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
* Maintains OSHA Safety guidelines and other regulatory State and Federal standards in accordance with company policies.
* Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse
* Assists Warehouse Manager when needed
* Maintains the daily operation of the Warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
* Works overtime as needed
* Familiar with Google Office, Gmail, Excel
* Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* This position is responsible for supervising a Warehouse Technician.
* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companys organizational policies and applicable laws,
* Responsibilities include training; planning; assigning; and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:
* College or some college or equivalent experience
* Valid drivers license
* Forklift training and certification
* Strong customer service skills
* 5 years minimum experience in warehouse operations; including some supervisory experience.
* Working knowledge of Google Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS
:
* Duties are performed in a warehouse environment.
* Contact with internal and external customers and vendors.
* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, carry, climb and lift 50 lbs
* May be exposed to heat and cold and adverse weather conditions
