This position is responsible for all aspects of an FAA 145 Repair Station Stockroom Operations and a parts distribution company including Shipping and Receiving. The position oversees numerous high and low value materials being transferred between various internal departments and between customers and vendors in an efficient, accurate, timely and cost effective manner. This position has employees in two locations and reports to the CEO The position is responsible for decision making that may have a significant impact on the organization's earnings, operations and image.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise, direct and coach all personnel assigned to the Stockroom and Shipping and Receiving Departments.Provide initial and recurrent training for all Stockroom and Shipping and Receiving personnel.Develop Key Performance Indicators that are customary in a material organizationDevelop and implement cost effective and streamlined processes to track and deliver internal and external orders.Direct the storage, protection, segregation and identification of replacement parts, materials, shop supplies, tooling and components.Maintains the Shelf Life Program and a system of purging time limited items from stock.Coordinates inventory cycle counting program.Directs the handling and shipment of Hazardous Material in safe and lawful manner.Adhere to and ensure staff follows all safety and security policies and regulations.Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.REQUIRED ABILITY TO: Focus and deliver on results orientation.Problem-solve and achieve targeted results with minimal supervision.Plan, organize and set clear expectations for team and monitor progress by mentoring when required to achieve goals.Use MS Office proficiently.Arrange competing priorities to meet goals and deadlines.Demonstrate excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.Build alliances, partnerships and collaborate with co-workers and customers in a tactful, professional and respectful manner. Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.Resolve workplace differences and conflict to achieve goals and objectives in a professional manner.Foster an atmosphere of new ideas, input and creative solutions when faced with challenges.Listen to others attentively and retain/process information effectively.Promote a professional culture that is trustworthy, honest, and socially responsible while championing an energetic and positive work culture.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of an Associate's degree in related field from an accredited institution or any combination of education and experience to demonstrate proficiency.Minimum of five(5) years' experience as a Manager of Material Operations at a FAA 145 Repair station or comparable environment.DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree or Master's in a related field from an accredited institution.WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent work in office environment.Flexibility to work additional hours and occasional weekends as needed.
