Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis.
Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for directing work assignments in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goalsOversees and coordinates warehouse processes such as receiving, put away, picking, and loading of products.Directs work assignments to employeesProvide daily hands-on support in Material Handling and Forklift responsibilitiesDrives compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectivesBrainstorms and suggests new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisorCommunicates professionally, both orally and written, to internal and external partnersCommunicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assists in finding solutions to problem areas.Ensures efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipmentTrains new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIsEnsures the warehouse is clean and orderly; including but not limited to organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping warehouse, and assist in staging orders for deliveryEnsure product is stored safely and in the proper place.Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouseAdditional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 05:00 - 15:30
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED requiredExperience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Experience with Warehouse Management SystemComputer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint).Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.Ability to input data on the computer to create a daily inventory report.Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills.MHE experience or desire to learn MHE.Must have attention to detailMust have excellent customer service skillsAttention to detailWe are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $20.50/HOUR.
