Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour
Role and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Outbound Materials Manager, it is the responsibility of the Warehouse Order Filler to accurately and efficiently fulfill pick tickets according to American Bolt policies and procedures. The filler is also responsible for the cleanliness and organization of all inventory touched throughout the shift.
Primary Responsibilities Operate RFQ scanner to pick orders. Read full product description and identify exact product required, attention to detail is critical. Ability to follow specific order fill and packaging instructions. Ability to multitask and work as a team to complete orders; as directed by manager. Maintain a clean workstation and safe keeping of tools required for the job. Strive for constant improvement in capabilities and increase product knowledge. Secondary Responsibilities Operate powered industrial trucks; both Sit-down and Reach trucks. Maintain Warehouse cleanliness and inventory accuracy Re-package inventory or repair broken boxes in the warehouse as needed Use constructive criticism to become more skilled and efficient order filler Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. 1 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse or related field (preferred) Forklift experience or certification (preferred) Work Environment Duties performed in this role will be conducted in a manufacturing warehouse environment. This means that employee's may be exposed to loud noises, machinery, and heavy equipment. Employee's will be required to wear the appropriate protective equipment when performing assigned duties.
Physical Requirements
Due to the nature of the business and the responsibilities of this role, the following physical requirements have been determined necessary in order to satisfactorily preform the responsibilities outlined in this job description:
The ability to lift 60 pounds regularly. The ability to walk on concrete for an entire 8 hours shift. The ability to safely climb step ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
