Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to comprehend basic math
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work within a diverse work environment
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Possesses a high degree of initiative
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability toWork independently and as a member of a team
Be a team player
Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Operate power equipment in a safe mannerLift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbsTwist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twistingCapable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)
Responsibilities:
Pallet Inspector/Palamatic Operator:Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner thatmeets company safety standardsManually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; in addition lift the pallets for inspectionand separation utilizing the palamatic machineQuality:Ensure that proper inspection and separation is metInventory:Conduct physical inventories as requiredSafety and Security:Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work areaAssist in maintaining the security of the warehouseConduct operations in a manner that promotes safetyComply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsMust wear all safety equipment while repairing palletsPerforms duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contractPerforms other duties as assigned Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
