We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Sanitation Associate to join our team.
The Sanitation Associate at FHI keeps work site clean and free of debris.
Maintains a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the FHI's standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Understands sanitation and pallet sorting best practices within a warehouse facility, working alone or in teams with minimal supervision.
Works with direct contact of outside delivery personnel.
Shift(s):
* 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Responsibilities include:
* Maintains a clean working environment for assigned area within the Warehouse Facility.
Clears debris and dunnage from work area, maintains cleanliness of breakrooms, office spaces and rest rooms.
* Operates industrial equipment: bailer to remove bails from unit and load in a central designated area.
* Pallet Jacks and Stand-up Forklifts to relocate materials.
* Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
* Clean up any spills or breakages of product.
* Notifies operations management regarding conditions on dock and within the warehouse facility of any concerns regarding safety, overall organization of the work area and provides suggestions for improvement.
* This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.

Qualifications Required:
Education:
We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter.
While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.
Experience:
* Prior experience as a warehouse associate is preferred.
* Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.
)
* Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.
)
Skills/Knowledge:
* Good verbal/written communication skills.
* Ability to speak, read, and write English for effective communication
* Willingness to work the required schedule.
* Ability to speak and write English for effective communication.
* Basic math skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
* Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, and customers.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:
* This position is designated as safety-sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands:
* Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday.
* Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets on any given day.
* The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms or alarms) in moderate to loud work environments.
