We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Sanitation Associate to join our team.
The Sanitation Associate at FHI keeps work site clean and free of debris.
Maintains a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the FHI's standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Understands sanitation and pallet sorting best practices within a warehouse facility, working alone or in teams with minimal supervision.
Works with direct contact of outside delivery personnel.
Shift(s): 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Responsibilities include: Maintains a clean working environment for assigned area within the Warehouse Facility.
Clears debris and dunnage from work area, maintains cleanliness of breakrooms, office spaces and rest rooms.Operates industrial equipment: bailer to remove bails from unit and load in a central designated area.Pallet Jacks and Stand-up Forklifts to relocate materials.Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.Clean up any spills or breakages of product.Notifies operations management regarding conditions on dock and within the warehouse facility of any concerns regarding safety, overall organization of the work area and provides suggestions for improvement.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.

While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.
Experience: Prior experience as a warehouse associate is preferred.
Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.)
Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.)
Skills/Knowledge: Good verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to speak, read, and write English for effective communication Willingness to work the required schedule.
Ability to speak and write English for effective communication.
Basic math skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, and customers.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment: This position is designated as safety-sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday.
Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets on any given day.
The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms or alarms) in moderate to loud work environments.
