Job Description
A packaging warehouse worker will be responsible for operating packaging equipment for products manufactured at the site, sampling products, helping to maintain product physical inventory, storage and racking of finished product in an organized manner; and assisting with other activities that help the plant to meet its safety, quality, and production, requirements
Qualification Highlights Must have 2+ years experience working in a warehouse. Must be able to meet all physical requirements. Must be able to accurately perform tasks using both verbal and written instructions. Must have reliable transportation. Operate packaging equipment to package finished products into fiber drums or super sacks in accordance with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Complete written documentation regarding all packaging and warehousing activities to provide documented evidence of FDA and ISO requirements. Help to maintain accurate physical inventory by verifying packaging yields, properly storing product, and ensuring that documentation for good receipts and shipments accurately reflect incoming and outbound materials.
Provide immediate feedback to supervision regarding any anomalies noted during all packaging, cleaning, and warehousing activities.
Work in a team environment to ensure that client plant safety, quality, and production requirements are met. Safely use fork trucks to move materials within the plant. Required knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have 2+ years experience working in a warehouse. Must be familiar with basic computer operations (MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must be able to follow written and verbal directions. Must be able to use simple tools to aid in the basic maintenance and operation of packaging and warehousing equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Preferred Additional Qualifications Forklift experience Product packaging experience in a regulated industry such as ISO 9001 or FDA Good Manufacturing Practices. Physical Requirements Position requires a significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to push or pull up to 120 lbs. Must be able towork at slight elevations, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
