Capitol Wright Distributing LLC is hiring for several Warehouseman under various roles (Opening Specialist / Order Picker I, II, III, IV / Replenishment Specialist / Truck Load Specialist / Side Loader Specialist / Route Return Specialist / Utility / Part Time). This position reports to the Shift Supervisor, Shift Manager, and Warehouse Manager.
Purpose: Perform an array of functions that may include clean-up, receiving and processing incoming orders, picking and filling orders from stock, organizing and loading product from the warehouse.
Responsibilities: ORDER PICKER: Report to Shift Manager, Shift Supervisor.Pick according to warehouse layout and assigned pallets.Must be able to understand basic functions of ring scanner and iPod.Must be within the required minimum cases per hour and load errors to market.Must do daily inspections of equipment; forklift or electric pallet jacks and report any defects to Shift Manager.Must verify inventory before making warehouse cuts on a pallet assigned.Must be able to count product on an assigned pallet. ROUTE RETURN SPECIALIST: Reports to Route Return Lead and Warehouse Manager.Must reconcile daily routes in a timely manner.Must adjust inventory according to returns, out of code, damaged, etc.Place saleable daily returns to its assigned pick bin location as time permits between check ins.Report out of code product returned from a delivery route to Warehouse Manager.Report refused order to Warehouse Manager.Must make invoice corrections due to error check in or product shortage.Must wear proper attire: steel toe shoes, gloves, company uniform.Assist with all other warehouse duties.Must help to keep warehouse clean.
TRUCK LOAD SPECIALIST/SIDE LOADER SPECIALIST: Report to Shift Manager and Shift Supervisor.Stage pallets in assigned rack or assigned staging area.Keep the flow of pallets moving from the wrap machine.Assure that pallet tag matches the pallet by comparing products to pallet tag.Assure that keg count are accurate and correct products are loaded on truck.Move, stage pallets and load delivery trucks with appropriate pallet tag by using scanner and iPod/iPad.Inspect route trailers for damages before loading and report any defects to Shift Manager.Load routes through Encompass system.Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage.Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition.Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first.Assist in counting out delivery trucks and verifying prior to loading (package/kegs).Assist with replenishment of product on the pick line when time allows.Assist with picking orders when time allows or directed by Shift Manger/Supervisor. OPENING SPECIALIST: Reports to Shift Manager and Warehouse Manager.Keep warehouse secure by closing bay doors in customer pick up as well as pedestrian door.Assure that pallet tag matches the pallet.Assure that keg count is accurate and the correct product are loaded on truck.Move, stage pallets and load delivery trucks with appropriate pallet tag by using scanner and iPod/iPad.Load routes through Encompass system.Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage.Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition.Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first.Assist in counting out delivery trucks and verifying prior to loading (package/kegs).Must be productive in hot shot area to maintain order in customer pick up.Must prep bay area for daily returns prior to leaving.All other duties as assigned. REPLENISHMENT SPECIALIST: Reports to KIOSK Team and Shift Manager.Must move product in WSM system to appropriate bins.Assure that pick line is stocked with the correct amount of inventory.Product rotation must meet FIFO standards.Must report out of rotation product to Shift Manager or Warehouse Manager.Must replenish pallets called for in a timely manner.All plastic must be removed from pallet prior to being placed on the pick line.Must place all plastic in trash bins.Must clear debris from replenishment area prior to placing pallet on pick line.Must move layer pick pallets in a timely manner.Match pallet tags to correct layer pick staged pallet UTILITY: Reports to Shift Manager and Shift Supervisor.Change mop water daily.Keep pick area free and clear of debris and empty pallets.Separate pallets prior to moving empty pallets to dunnage area.Level product on the flow racks to assist with productivity.Sweep and mop daily in pick area to assure clean work area.Run floor scrubber daily.Clean under flow racks periodically to clear them of debris. OTHER DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: All positions above may be required to perform other duties of a warehouseman.Keep the warehouse secure by closing all doors and/or keeping unauthorized parties out of the facility.Ensure that all possible steps are taken to prevent the loss of product through pilferage, damage, or aging.Daily check of pallet jack and/or forklift to ensure proper fluid levels, operating conditions, and maintenance.Perform the interior and exterior maintenance tasks that are assigned to you.Will be responsible for assigned ring scanner, long range scanner, iPod and/or iPad.Prior forklift experience is required in loading and unloading.Stack and organize daily dunnage.May require extended Encompass knowledge with WMS.Must be certified to operate a forklift and an electric pallet jack. COMMUNICATION: Maintain open and clear communications with all supervisors, managers and other employees of Capitol Wright Distributing.Maintain open and clear communications with retailers, vendors, and transport companies that conduct business with Capitol Wright Distributing. Skills/Requirements: Requirements include, must be at least 18 years of age or meet the minimum state legal age requirements, and must have six (6) months of work experience (for example working in a distribution warehouse environment or other positions which require continuous heavy lifting.)The employee must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and up to a maximum of 165 lbs. when handling products.Physical Demands of job include: standing, pushing, pulling frequently, walking, lifting constantly, sitting, standing, kneeling and reaching above shoulders.Preferred: Experience with a handheld device (iPod, iPad, Ring Scanner, Long Range Scanner) and beverage industry experience.Must have Encompass knowledge with WMS.Reliable and dependable.Assist with all other warehouse duties.Must have dependable transportation.
