Purpose Join our team as a Wastewater Treatment Operator III, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing water treatment facilities.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you'll conduct essential technical and mechanical tasks, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of treatment and conveyance facilities.
Your responsibilities will extend to daily operations, training initiatives, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Accountabilities Collaborate with the operations team to execute daily tasks, including operation, maintenance, and repairs, while adhering to standard operating proceduresProvide training to Operators on equipment, instruments, microbiology, plant process control, and safety equipment operationsEngage in administrative duties, writing plant directives, recommending process improvements, and exploring new treatment technologiesDeliver exceptional customer service by fostering open communication with internal and external stakeholdersAdhere to industry safety standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsExecute routine and emergency operational, maintenance, construction, and repair functions, prioritizing tasks in the fieldConduct daily inspections of wastewater treatment facilities, aquifer recharge facilities, and related equipmentRespond to operational emergencies as required, potentially involving on-call and shift workProvide technical and physical assistance to operations personnel, contractors, and developersAssist customers with water-related concerns, ensuring quality, delivery, and addressing odors and vector controlCoordinate all work efforts within the framework of company safety policies and OSHA regulationsOffer direction to peers and subordinates in routine day-to-day work activitiesPerform other responsibilities as requested by leadership Education And Experience 5+ years' experience in wastewater treatmentMinimum 12 months experience as a Wastewater Treatment Operator II or equivalentADEQ Grade 3 Operator License in Wastewater Treatment, or ability to obtain, requiredSpecialized knowledge of wells, pumps, motors, chlorine generators, plumbing principles, and utility improvementsValid driver's licenseAbility to read maps, manuals, blueprints, and perform general math calculationsStrong written communication skills for documenting daily records and reportsAbility to provide occasional direction to co-workers in the absence of Senior Operator or SupervisorAnalytical judgment and decision-making abilities in varied work situations What We Offer As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience.
