As we continue to grow, Tetra Tech has a tremendous opportunity for a mid to senior level Water Resources Engineer to work with a top-notch team of highway/traffic engineers and transportation planners.
We focus on advancing complex roadway/highway infrastructure projects and we are a recognized leader in the planning, permitting, and design of transportation projects throughout the Commonwealth.
We are proud to be the lead stormwater designers for the I-495/ I-90 Interchange Reconstruction and the Cape Cod Bridges Program.
Our team is also designing major projects within our region such as the I-90/Allston Interchange and the Rutherford Ave/Sullivan Square corridor in Boston, both with substantial stormwater/drainage design components.
This is an engaging and high impact position in which you will work closely with industry leaders to support clients with stormwater management and design, green infrastructure (GI), low impact development (LID), hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis, water quantity and water quality analysis, and resiliency solutions.
In this position you will work as a team member to support routine and non-routine assignments related to transportation projects of substantial variety and complexity.

Location: This position is based out of our Marlborough, MA office, located in the Marlborough Technology Park, which is easily accessible from major highways and full of amenities such as a cafeteria, game room and gym.
We offer a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.
Responsibilities include:
Performing design and analysis of roadway stormwater treatment and conveyance systems, including drainage pipe networks, culverts, inlets, retention/detention ponds, roadside swales, and other stormwater management facilities.
Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling.
Preparation of construction and bid documents (plans, specifications, and estimates).
Technical writing and report documentation.
Client meetings and presentations.
The ideal candidate possesses: 4-8 years of experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or environmental engineering Proficiency with H&H models, such as HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, HY-8, etc.
Working knowledge of MassDOT and MassDEP standards EIT Certification (PE preferred) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ArcGIS preferred Desire to learn other design software programs Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team environment with staff from different disciplines and backgrounds
