SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Wave Planner's (non-allocation) overall goal of the wave planning team is to release work to the floor in a manner that is the most efficient operation-wise but yet meets or beats customer expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Releasing work to the warehouse floor; i.
Evaluate all workload on the floor, understand the constraints faced and plan the release of their orders so that they arrive in shipping on time to route.
ii.
Daily work release is based on floor capacity, priorities, and customer expectations.
iii.
For Some accounts, we wave to the VAS area for Value Added Services.
iv.
Working with the floor to determine if a wave should be released to the 6 Rivers robots or to our RF pick guns.
v.
Managing special processes - Bulk Assorted orders; Picking SKUs and converting them to a generic assorted style Updating reports that help manage the workload and share them with sales, CS, and the DC team.
Conduct weekly or daily meetings utilizing the reports with relevant sales and CS reps to go over; Shortages, Extensions, Discuss monthly sales goals and our tracking to that number, and Priorities.
Troubleshooting: Common issues, Systematic shortages, Units being shorted on orders, Incomplete addresses or PO boxes, Incorrect ship vias, Tasks or cartons not in 6 Rivers The planners determine as a group what is most important to start on and share the capacity available.
Keep Sales and CS advised on shipments and manage expectations.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
•Strong use of applications such as Microsoft Office and EXCEL, etc.
•Problem-solving and decision-making skills, ability to identify issues and implement efficient solutions.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet goals
•Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS, PKMS)
•Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with the team and other departments
•Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in task management and root-causing issues
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands
•Shifts begins at 4am, may vary on business needs
•Flexibility to work OT and/or Saturdays and Holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Lifting, pushing, pulling or moving cartons up to 50 lbs.
•Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout most of the day
•Must be able to reach above head and bend below the knees all day
•Work in cooler and heated conditions based on the time of year
