The Los Angeles Film School, a leader in entertainment arts education, is seeking candidates for the position of Web Developer. The Los Angeles Film School is an accredited college that specializes in entertainment and media arts education. Our campus is located in the heart of Hollywood with over 250,000 square feet of state-of-the-art classrooms and equipment. The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to department specifications. Strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Meeting with project managers to determine CRM needs.Developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform and a variety of other applications.Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications.Creating timelines and development goals.Testing the stability and functionality of the application.Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.Writing documents and providing technical training for Salesforce staff.Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.Ability to problem-solve high-level software and application issues.Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Focusing on individual/stakeholder requests.Providing excessive support for non-critical issues.Good customer-facing interfaces.Other Responsibilities:Work with other developers in conjunction with our SIS integration.Occasionally lend support to web development.Supervisory Responsibilities:N/A
Required Skills:Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, APIs, MySQL, and T-SQL scripting.Working knowledge of AI including design, development, and implementation of AI solutions.Any knowledge of AI algorithms, machine learning, and data analysis is welcomed.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field. Equivalent range experience can be considered.Computer Skills:Microsoft 365.Collaboration tools including Teams, Zoom, Outlook.Various Operating Systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.Environmental Factors:Cold office space due to year-round A/C.Fluorescent lighting.Natural lighting from windows.Shared office space.Sitting for extended periods of time.Repetitive hand and finger movements.Prolonged viewing of computer screen.Emotional and Mental Demands:Stress from a fast-paced academic environment where the turnaround for monthly school terms induces a rapid pace of work.
