Responsibilities
• Manages the execution of all operations at the welcome desks• Audits systems and reviews reports, as well as understanding gaps in performance• Assists in training staff and development for potential career advancement• Responsible for personnel-related matters including performance management, disciplinary action, trainings, and monthly staff meetings• Identifies opportunities and implements programs to improve guest service processes and maximize the guest experience• Maintains positive collaboration and communication with membership information, program offerings, schedules, staff roles, registrations, and building/program policies• Communicates with the Director of Fitness on a weekly basis to ensure positive outcomes• Maintains a clean, orderly, and organized work environment at the fitness desk• Be the primary point of contact for customer service in the building• Engages in informal conversations to form long-term relationships with our members, driving retention, customer service, and referrals• Assists in promoting and selling memberships to potential new members by actively developing leads, responding to membership inquiries, booking, and providing energetic and informative tours• Completes paperwork for new members, including applications and fitness orientations• Be responsive to member feedback and complaints by notifying the JCC management team and working towards a timely resolution• Serves as a liaison to the maintenance team to ensure that the facility is kept clean
Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in hospitality, hotel management, or a related field is preferred• 2+ years of previous front desk/guest services management experience• Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction• Demonstrated ability to train staff• Must be flexible regarding schedule based on business demands• Previous experience demonstrating strong customer service preferred
