JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Efficiently and accurately cut and weld metal components with welding equipment as specified in drawings, work orders or verbal instructions. Maintain equipment per USBP and manufacturer's requirements. Work safely utilizing proper personal protective equipment and following all safety procedures. Attend monthly safety training, support all company safety initiatives. Follow all inventory control procedures. Serve as back-up to other functions including material handling, crating, and assembly. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Sustain productivity per company work standards. Operate forklift and cranes when necessary.Participate in shop cleaning schedule.Other duties as assigned by manager. QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years MIG welding experience, working with sheet metal and steel plate. Must be able to pass a hands-on welding test. Proficient in reading dimensional drawings and welding drawings. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Excellent attention to detail.Ability and willingness to follow instructions.Ability to become forklift certified, training and certification provided by company. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
