At South Coast Cellars we are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and self- motivated individual to fill the role of our Wine Production Coordinator.
Working with our wine makers and production team to meet the quality and production goals.
This position will require knowledge of the complete wine production process.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Administrative duties such as managing petty cash accounts, processing expense reports, mileage reimbursements, and check requests.
•Coordinates schedules, travel arrangements, monthly calendar for upcoming deadlines.
•Process employee hiring, training, and payroll documentation.
•Ensures cellar staff are trained in SOP's and develop additional SOP's if needed.
•Maintaining bottling schedule with Master winemaker
•Maintain the appropriate inventory of wine making supplies and additives for each stage of the wine making process.
•Coordinate participation in wine competitions, including gathering entry requirements, guidelines, and deadlines, completing entry documentation to specifications, coordinating payment, packing/shipping entry requirements and keeping staff updated with status of wine competition awards.
•Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
•Maintaining precise cellar records and compliance with all tracing and TTB reporting requirements.
•Follows safety compliance, including safety training and site inspections/audits, to provide a safe workplace.
•Processing wine orders, coordinating pallet movements and transportation between warehouses/ resort for weekly orders/ create and submit billing and other relevant documentation related to transport of wine orders.
Requirements:
•Minimum 1 year experience with practical and technical aspects of the wine making process.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•Skilled in interpersonal communications; able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Proficient in Microsoft work, outlook, and excel.
•Able to meet physical requirements (lift up to 40 lbs., perform warehouse case counts, moving product, occasionally stand for extended periods of time) and work in outdoor conditions.
