Job OverviewPosition Overview: This position is responsible for the design, maintenance, and day-to-day operational support of TE's global wireless (WIFI) network. The individual in this role will be involved in the architecture/strategy, day-to-day management, and projects associated with the WIFI network. They will join a team to be the day-to-day effective support of all WIFI related network infrastructure. Key objectives in this role are technology standardization, simplification, and automation of the wireless networks while considering reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities• Mid to Senior-level Aruba WLAN networking skills (Other vendors expertise considered)
• Knowledge of a variety of AOS versions 8 and 10
• Knowledge of Aruba Central and Aruba Instant OS
• Knowledge of Aruba ClearPass and Airwave application architectures.
• Strong understanding of WIFI channel structure, interference, and client roaming technologies.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, firewall, and proxy to troubleshoot PC, device, and application WIFI issues.
• Robust/broad troubleshooting skills.
• Design, install, and maintain highly complex global network architectures.
• Actively participates in the resolution of ServiceNow tickets by taking ownership of tickets, resolving and closing with proper detail. Works with other engineers to support the closure of tickets where applicable.
• Participates or leads in priority type incidents by actively sitting on MIM (Major Incident Management) bridges. Provides regular status updates to peers and management. Able to translate complex technical issues into layman's terms to provide executive updates.
• Monitors and drives upgrades, patching and lifecycle management to ensure audit compliance.
• Proactively monitors and tunes the wireless networks to achieve optimum performance levels; provide performance statistics and reports.
• Demonstrated ability in being a lead for projects based on IT initiatives. Ownership of key tasks/milestones to achieve a successful implementation/closure.
• Mentors and develops junior members of the team.
• Experienced with working in a large, global, follow-the-sun support organization.
• Provide off-hours support using a global follow-the-sun team and rotating on-call procedure. May serve as an escalation for on-call issues.
• Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications• 3-5 years experience
• Create predictive WLAN designs.
• Conduct wireless site surveys to validate designs and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience with Aruba Central.
• Experience with Aruba ClearPass.

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $77,800–116,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
