We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy Water business for an ambitious and talented Wiring Engineer / Project Engineer.
The successful candidate will be joining our existing team of passionate and dedicated individuals, playing a major part in the OHL team.
We are looking for a Wiring Project Engineer with the following attributes:
Qualified and experienced on OHL 132KV to 400KV projectsHolder of relevant DNO, NG & SSEN authorisations (preferable)Ability to support other roles relating to the installation of OHL assets for example but not limited to earthing and bus bar connections / installation.The ideal applicant will have experience in either having delivered Electrical & Civil works within a live and dead environment.We want people who share our passion for existing and future projects and would thrive on being part of a work winning team.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the procuring of plant and equipment for pre project needsResponsible for the completion of the OHL scope of works and documentationProvide technical support and advice to design teams/Project Manager / engineers in assessing OHL solutions and buildability of the proposed solutionsEnsure all staff and subcontractors promote a safety and environmental conscious cultureAssist in reviewing and implementing safe systems of work for mechanical and electrical site activities, including risk assessments and method statements and impact / contingency plansAssist in the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the OHL installation programme and activitiesAssist as OHL coordinator for the control and implementation of electrical safety on siteAssist in the production of OHL and O&M documentationCoordinate, control and undertake sub-contractors reviewing of RAMsAssist in managing defects and corrective actionsWhat's in it for you? About our Energy business We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
