As a member of the Wealth Management Investment Platforms team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting select policies, processes, and platforms within our charter by creating meaningful solutions, effectively communicating those solutions to business stakeholders, and providing comprehensive support and education to the target audience.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be a self-starter capable of solving complex problems, have the ability to multi-task across a variety of projects and processes, be a succinct and accurate communicator, and be attentive to details, while understanding the broader strategy.
Principal Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business partners to transform business needs into technology requirements that both business and technology understand to develop and improve platforms
Lead an Agile squad(s) of software developers as a Product Owner
Manage and prioritize a product backlog
Becoming an application/platform subject matter expert
Develop and execute comprehensive communication and training plans
Work effectively in cross-functional teams, having demonstrated strong partnerships with both internal and external business partners
Ability to steer large scale projects by establishing scope, identifying owners, monitoring progress against deadlines, and keeping stakeholders informed
Perform data analysis and modeling to determine business opportunities to drive business strategy and policy
Self-starter who possesses excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong business judgment, distinctive thought leadership
An active listener who can succinctly communicate and present ideas
Related financial services industry experience preferred
Proficient with Word, Excel and Power Point
Experience with the drafting of technology requirements, testing, and platform delivery
Experience with Agile development a plus
Experience working in the SDLC
BA/BS with strong academic record
1-3 years of work-related experience
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
