As a Wood Finisher at Allied Maker, you will be responsible for applying your skill in finishing wood components for our lighting fixtures.
Your role is crucial in transforming raw wood into beautifully polished pieces that highlight the natural beauty of the hardwoods we use.
You will use traditional techniques such as sanding, staining, and varnishing while also incorporating modern tools and innovations.

Key Responsibilities Prepare, sand, stain, and apply finishes to wood components, ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship.
Inspect wood surfaces for imperfections and correct them using both traditional and modern finishing techniques.
Apply various finishes such as oil, lacquer, varnish, and wax, depending on project specifications.
Maintain consistency and precision in finishes, ensuring all pieces meet the company's quality standards.
Collaborate closely with the manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure wood components are completed on time and match the design intent.
Operate hand tools and machinery for wood preparation and finishing, balancing time-honored methods with modern techniques.
Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Follow design and technical specifications to bring the beauty of wood to life in each project.

Qualifications Proven experience in wood finishing, with a strong understanding of woodworking and finishing techniques.
Knowledge of different types of wood and appropriate finishing methods, including sanding, staining, and varnishing.
Ability to work with hand tools and power tools related to wood finishing.
