As a Workers Comp Risk Specialist, you will drive workers' compensation claim outcomes for delivery, e-commerce, retail, and wholesale sectors.
Utilizing a variety of skills and tools, you will perform initial triage on all claims, ensure proper claims administrators' attention and investigation, provide strategic oversight and guidance, and clarify processes for the business team, claims administrators, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Triage all newly reported workers' compensation claims Ensure proper intake by the claims administrator on each claim Ensure claims administrator conducts timely and thorough claims investigation Review and approve all reserve changes, settlement requests, compensability determinations, vendor engagements, and legal assignments within designated authority Provide strategic oversight and guidance of the litigation management program Implement and manage the return-to-work program Design, deploy, and maintain all workers' compensation-related training documents Perform periodic claim audits of TPA and communicate the results to management and external stakeholders Utilize internal RMIS system to help manage claims and document internal steps taken Provide authority and approval to TPA for the use of outside vendors or defense counsel Collaborate with business partners to educate and train all relevant stakeholders on the workers' compensation process Communicate with the business regarding the status of open workers' compensation claims Develop improvements to existing processes and procedures with the larger Risk Management team What You Bring to the Table:
A collaborative approach to claims management with a desire to learn and create change Willingness to assist the department in other areas of claims management as needed Comprehensive knowledge of workers' compensation claims within various jurisdictions Exceptional written communication and organizational skills Ability to review financial and claims data and present to various audience Strong customer service and incident resolution experience Whats needed- Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 2 years of relevant experience Previous claims adjusting experience Experience working as a Workers' Compensation Adjuster, Specialist, or similar role Familiarity with RMIS systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel) Whats needed- Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TPA oversight strongly preferred Professional Insurance Designations such as ARM or AIC are recommended but not required We Offer:
