JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Leads and supports the Workplace Violence Governance Committee, which is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects and education relating to workplace violence. Works with an interdisciplinary team to mitigate the risks of WPV events.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Three (3) years program development/management experience, with at least one (1) year of Emergency Management, Workplace Violence, and/or Security experience, required. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Time management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure. Communication - Effective written and verbal communication skills to perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand complex information/situations. Ability to work with all levels within the organization, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities. Confidentiality - Ability to use discretion when processing and handling sensitive issues. Conflict resolution - Influences others to build consensus and gain cooperation. Proactively resolves conflicts in a positive and constructive manner. Critical thinking Identifies complex problems.
