Position OverviewThis position supports the Account Executive with responsibilities related to client management and retention.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for identifying, soliciting, and closing new business for the company.Generate an ongoing list of prospects.Utilize cold calls, prospecting emails, mail, professional associations, and networking to contact prospective clients.Ability to identify opportunities for cross-sell of other lines of insurance.Identify exposures, make recommendations, and create custom programs to eliminate gaps in coverage.Identify opportunities to round out accounts for existing clients.Maintain client relationships and retention of accounts through agency's renewal workflows.Qualifications3-5 years of experience working in an insurance brokerage or carrier.Personable and highly motivated to grow personal success.Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Excellent organization and follow-up skills.Consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients, and associates.Excellent listening skills with strong customer focus.Applied Epic or similar agency management software experience, preferred.Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members.Ability to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior, and effort to achieve goals and objectives.Self-motivated and driven.HubSpot and related sales tools a definite plus.Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines.Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen and problem solve with minimal assistance.Demonstrates excellent time management and prioritization skills.Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy.The ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information.Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.Equal Employment OpportunityAt World Insurance Associates (WIA), we celebrate and support our differences.
