Worship/Youth Leader

Job Opportunity - Worship and Youth Leader First Baptist Church of Jonesville, Virginia is an SBCV church tucked into the beautiful mountains of the southwestern tip of Virginia, just a few miles from both the Tennessee and Kentucky borders.

The community of Jonesville is a small coal-mining community with very friendly residents of all ages and a great place to raise a family.

The church is located right on the main street within walking distance from several neighborhoods and walking distance to our quaint little town and community park.

The church has a nice family life center with a full basketball court, bleachers and scoreboard where we host Upwards Basketball and pickleball nights.

Our worship is blended with a preference given to contemporary music and a worship team uniquely filled primarily with gifted teens. We are looking for someone who can lead the team, so yes, a decent ability to sing is required. The ability to play a guitar would also be a great bonus but not required.

Responsibilities include:

Leading the worship team during services. Mentoring and engaging with high school youth group members throughout the week. Working closely with the pastor to align worship and youth activities with church goals. The only staff of the church currently is the pastor and the custodian. The worship/youth leader will work closely with the pastor.
