Department Aerial Department Department Mission The Zip Ride Guide is responsible for providing a safe, fun and engaging zip ride experience at The Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Principle Responsibilities ? Provide helpful and efficient service and maintain a friendly and cheerful attitude
? Become familiar with all materials supplied prior to the camping season
? Participate in the specialized program training during the staff training period
? Use all safety equipment mandated in your program venue
? Check material frequently and keep the Zip Ride Manager informed of equipment concerns and needs
? Ensure proper use, security, and care of program equipment
? Fit participants with harness and helmet correctly and supervise the use of all personal protective equipment
? Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
? Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training ? 18 years of age or older
? Preferred: ACCT Level 2 Certification and/or BSA C.O.P.E. Level 2 Instructor Certification
? Preferred: Experience guiding/facilitating and managing others while 'at-height'
? Must be able to complete Level 2 Guide Training (provided)
? Must be comfortable with heights of 6'-180'
? Must meet the manufacture's requirement for participation, including weight requirements (between 50 and 250 pounds).
? Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
? Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
Performance Results ? Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences
? Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
? Contribute at least one improvement to the Zip Line program
? Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant
Physical Requirements ? Up to 9 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 75 lbs.
