Zoo Office Services Specialist (Full Time) Department - Zoo Hourly Pay Range - $19.49 - $29.24 Closing Date: 02/07/2024 @ 10:59 pm or upon receiving 50 applications. This position has a rotating schedule with one consistent weekday off and participates in a weekend rotation. Job Summary - The main purpose of this role is to communicate and provide customer service to both internal and external guests using phone, computer, and the zoo's radio system. This position is dedicated to communication through a multiline digital phones system and a multi-stie capacity plus radio system. All radio calls go through this position including all emergencies and emergency response communication. This position will provide entry support through cameras and electronic gates access controls. This public facing position provides information and a high-level guest experience to guests of the zoo. Handles payments and refunds. Job Responsibilities: Zoo Dispatch Operator - Answers and responds to any phone or radio calls providing assistance and important zoo information to customers and staff. Hundreds of radio and phone communications happen daily and this position logs each call, provides answers to questions and communicates to units in the field for customer related needs. Customer Service / Cash Handling - Provides information on zoo products and service. Works to resolve emerging guest relation problems that our customer may face during the visit in an accurate, efficient, and friendly manner. Collects cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers. Issues Receipts and settles refund requests through Zoo policy, procedure, and rules Electronic Gate and Surveillance Camera Operator - Zoo Property Access - Operates the electronic gates remotely allowing access for customers, vendors, and employees while following policies related to zoo access. Utilizes the camera system to visual fact check requests for access to zoo property. Emergency Dispatch Operator - Coordinates all emergency calls (human and animal) quickly and accurately. Dispatches the appropriate emergency personnel and zoo staff to resolve. Dispatch, monitor, and report on the emergency. Zoo-wide Logistics Coordination - Directs in-bound delivery trucks and vendors to the correct location. Relays work order information, organizes daily communication message to the zoo staff. Coordinates lost and found log and belongings. Minimum Requirements: Current resident of Wisconsin HS Diploma or GED equivalent At least One (1) year of experience high intensity customer service, dispatch, radio operator, logistics, multiline operation, baseline switch board operation, handling complaints, multiple languages, cash handling, point of sale. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook Note: This Original Examination is open to current residents of the State of Wisconsin.
