Our client is seeking a highly experienced IT Security Architect IV to develop and write System Security Plans (SSPs) for suppliers and enterprise applications. This role involves conducting security assessments, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 and COV SEC530, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities Create comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) by gathering and analyzing information from various business units and suppliers.Conduct interviews with stakeholders to understand system components, operations, and security requirements.Assess responses to security control questions, identify gaps, and recommend remediation strategies.Ensure compliance with COV SEC530 based on NIST 800-53 standards for security and regulatory requirements.Document security measures, risk assessments, and system vulnerabilities in detail.Provide risk mitigation guidance and propose strategies to enhance security controls.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security and compliance needs effectively.Must Haves: 7+ years of senior-level IT security experience.Proven expertise in security architecture design and implementation.At least 5 years of experience writing System Security Plans and conducting security assessments.4+ years of in-depth knowledge of NIST 800-53 and relevant compliance frameworks.Strong understanding of risk management, security controls, and compliance processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.Ability to manage multiple projects independently.Nice to Haves: Additional certifications in security architecture or compliance frameworks.Experience in implementing advanced risk mitigation strategies. Pay Rate: $49–$52/hour or from an annual perspective $97,760 - $108,160
