We are a 1.1m square foot distribution facility close to Ellabell, Georgia - and we are looking for experienced, people-oriented leaders to join our team and contribute to the start-up of the operation. POSITION SUMMARY The 4th Shift Assistant Shipping Manager is responsible for managing and leading a team of individuals to accomplish our shipping goals and satisfy customer demand to the best of our ability. This role is challenged to develop new tools and resources that increase productivity and support the growth of our business. This position will build and maintain extensive knowledge of the various procedures and operations protocols while developing and implementing improvements that increase efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
We offer a base salary rage up to $70,000 annually based on experience. We offer a 10% shift differential in addition to base salary. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervise up to 20-40 associates, including team leads.Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for assigned departments; identify and resolve operating issues as needed, including support of corrective actions and progressive discipline processAssist in creating SOPs and environments that support operating proceduresActively engage in "MBWA" or managing by walking around and serve as a role model of company cultureIdentify internal/external projects for continued developmentAssist in planning and prioritizing projects and create documentation surrounding processesInteract with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations / rules are followedAssist in creating and maintaining all local level reporting needs for inbound/outbound operationsMaintain a high level of operating knowledge and positive employee relationsAnalyze opportunities for improvement including productivity growth, cost reduction, damage mitigation, and increased process efficiencyOther duties as assignedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience-in-training and development role; experience working with a large group of non-exempt employees preferredAssociate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understandingDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligenceCustomer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectationsAbility to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needsPHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/dayRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearingRequires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reachingWORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
SHIFT SCHEDULE Friday-Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
