We are looking to strengthen our Financial Team with someone who has a knack for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and an appreciation for procedures. The responsibilities of the Internal Auditing Accountant include working directly with the CFO to maintain the corporate financials by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. Core duties will be centered around assessing and evaluating internal controls and risk management systems while keeping auditing standards and industry compliance top-of-mind. On-the-job training will be provided; however, experience with and a basic understanding of GAAP and Regulatory Accounting will be rewarded.
Responsibilities:Audit balance sheet reconciliations and review expensesReview and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controlsOversee operational and capital budget processesLead improvement initiatives to enhance internal controls and optimize project efficiencyQualifications and Requirements:Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, Compliance, other related field, or equivalent work experience.3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Telecommunications industry.1-2 years of experience conducting audits in a regulated industryValid Kansas driver's license with a good driving record.Personal Attributes:Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.Ability to manipulate and extract data from complex systems.Self-starter; able to see projects through to completion with considerable autonomy.High integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well and foster relationships at all levels of the organization.Other Skills & Abilities:PC proficiency (primarily in a Windows environment) is essential, as is a strong working knowledge of Google Suites and advanced skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software and databases.
