About the Role:
As an Accountant at Edgewater Wireless Systems, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. We are looking for candidates at all levels of experience, from entry-level to senior-level professionals, who are passionate about accounting and finance. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting functions, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Review invoices and ensure proper documentation is in place.
Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
