ABOUT THIS POSITION Location: This position follows a hybrid model (2-3 days in office) in: Arlington, VA or Alpharetta, GA or Houston, TX The Accounting Manager, Supply Chain and Manufacturing will work within the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Accounting team and perform the following for the region: Own inventory subledger, including cross functional coordination with Procurement and FP&A teams for accruals and analyses Implement and manage end-to-end inventory controls, including controls related to inventory cutoff and logistics cost accruals Prepare and approve journal entries and account reconciliations to support meeting 5-day close requirement for the month close, including coordination with shared services teams Monitor indirect cost of product, e.g., actuals analysis, planning estimates, by materials category, by project/order, etc.
Analyze and forecast overhead costs and rates Inventory analysis and reporting Assist with periodic physical inventories This role reports to the Financial Controller, Supply Chain and Production.
What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
Minimum 7 years of accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience with a focus in industrial manufacturing.
Background in contract manufacturing is preferred.
Energy or energy storage business knowledge is an advantage.
Experience in public accounting and in publicly traded companies is required.
Capability to independently manage corporate financial controls, operating in a high growth environment.
Proven cross-functional leadership and communication skills, including direct supervisory experience required.
NetSuite/SAP experience preferred.
Bachelor's, and preferably Master's, degree(s) with a major in accounting, finance, or equivalent training.
CPA preferred.
