The Opportunity: The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of at least 3 members of the General Ledger accounting team. The Supervisor is also responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, timely period-end close activities, variance analysis and other duties as needed. This role includes working with external auditors and consultants, as well as working cross-functionally on process improvement initiatives, including FP&A and IT. This role will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, performing financial analysis and ensuring best practices are followed.
What You Will Do: Coach, develop, mentor and evaluate performance of Senior Accountant(s), including allocating and prioritizing workload Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger activities of the organization as well as financial reporting Ensure financial transactions are recorded and reviewed in compliance with GAAP as well as company policies and procedures Summarize and analyze general ledger accounts with large volumes of data and transactions Coordinate and execute timely and accurate period-end close activities according to the close schedule Timely prepare and/or review journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare monthly variance analysis for cost centers and review with cross-functional management Support Senior Accounting Manager and FP&A with period-end financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting or other analysis as needed Assist the Senior Accounting Manager with creating, updating and/or monitoring policies and procedures documentation, process improvements and automation, and cross-training of team roles and responsibilities Monitor and adhere to internal controls Collaborate with various departments to support overall company goals and objectives Work with the external Auditors and support the external audit process by providing reports Identify and implement changes to improve productivity and efficiency The Experience You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5-7+ years of experience in Accounting; including supervisory experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel skills) Broad industry experience and knowledge of Accounting best practices, particularly as it relates to large volumes of data Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls Proficient in using and understanding large ERP systems Proactive and forward thinker with the ability to focus on long term solutions and business evolution Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and adapt to a growing and changing environment Strong communicator with the ability to define and communicate business issues, with experience building close cross-functional relationships and engaging management Analytical with strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Oracle systems experience Your Well Being: Hybrid work model (Onsite/Offsite) Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, company paid Basic Life/AD&D 401k Retirement Plan Flexible PTO Career Development Employee Purchase Program What We Stand For: We act with intensity, urgency and a passion for supporting our customers and growing our business.
