Job description Niantic is seeking an experienced and thorough Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AP processes, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The AP Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the AP function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, handling vendor relationships, and supporting the Accounting close process.
Responsibilities Conduct operations of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring efficient workflow. Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Enter vendor invoices into accounting software and ensure accurate coding. Handle vendor communication, requests, and documents, responding promptly and expertly. Schedule and process vendor payments. Maintain records and ensure document accuracy. Prepare journal entries and AP balance sheet reconciliation. Compile and organize support for audit requests. Communicate regularly with the Accounting team and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes. Collaborate with cross-functional team members and partners, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings. Required in-office 2 days on Monday and Tuesday. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Navan, and NetSuite Eager to learn, resourceful. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to tackle practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle multifaceted situations with little advance notice. Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate optimally through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others. The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base hourly range of $37.64 - $41.83 + bonus + equity + benefits.
