On May 1st, 1989, Rich Ackley and a team of talented people pooled their combined 100 years of experience and founded Dalmatian Fire, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana.
On the same day, Rich also opened a branch office in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The second week of Dalmatian's operations, the company sold an $8,900 tenant finish sprinkler job in Cincinnati.
Now, over 27 years later, we have produced in excess of $515 million in fire sprinkler revenue.

In 1995, we opened our third branch office in Columbus, Ohio, and in 2005, we opened our fourth branch office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Fire Protection Service Administrative Assistant.In this position, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of customer service and administrative duties required to prepare fire protection inspections, confirm and manage customer information, closeout of service and inspection job, prepare billing information, support sales, office and field personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist project managers with billings and other administrative tasks throughout various projectsUtilize accounting system for administrative support tasksFollow the company-endorsed business process and best practices and make recommendations on system/process improvementsAssist with processing payroll - approve timesheets and send to payrollMaintain document retention strategy for retaining hard and electronic copies of service acknowledgements, work orders, inspection reports, as well as internal agreements and customer documentationAlways maintain confidentiality of customer and employer informationPerform other duties as directed Qualifications 5+ years with administrative, payroll, billing and coordinator type rolesAccelerated in computer and Microsoft Office and Windows skillsExperience with AS400/Trueline accounting system a plusMust be able to retain training in an organized fashion to be successfulGood understanding of Excel spreadsheets and Creating of TablesDispatching or scheduling experience with Technicians, Project Managers, etc.
