This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office Services Division and serves as an Administrative Operations Assistant performing a full range of work activities of the division.
The position requires flexibility in work schedule.

Duties
The Administrative Support Officer will perform a variety of administrative tasks including:
Procurement and distribution of supplies and equipment, document printing and reproduction, and records management.Manages mail services, ensuring timely distribution and receipt of incoming and outgoing correspondence and packages.Oversees property and space management to ensure efficient use of resources and office spaces.Coordinates facility and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.
Handle transportation needs by operating vehicles with a gross weight of 10,000 to 26,000 pounds.Drives vehicles for short and long distances to transport materials, supplies, articles, and occasionally personnel, ensuring timely delivery and safety.Maintains proper documentation and logs for vehicle operations, inventory, and administrative functions. Must be able to lift packages weighing 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds. Assists in Emergency Action Response activities in the event of emergencies and or closures at the AOC. Must follow all relevant Office of Compliance and OSHA safety rules, regulations and standard operating procedures.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Candidates for the GS-06 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as having experience in the following:
(1) Operating and performing minor maintenance on a motor vehicle used to deliver and pick up mail and transport equipment throughout the Capitol Complex.
(2) Tracking property, supplies and inventory in an automated system.
(3) Assisting with copying, reproduction, and distribution of forms and documents.
