Job Description Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to establish and review strategies for maintaining and carrying out the philosophy, vision, mission, strategic plan, and policies of AFSA and its School Board. Provide leadership in maintaining a climate that is safe and conducive to learning. Provide leadership and oversight in the following areas: Personnel Finance Student Achievement Technology Community Relations Accountability Operations AFSA school board Other duties as needed. Qualifications Must hold a 4-year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience Does not have to hold a valid Administrator/Principal license, but this is preferred Leadership experience in either a non-profit or educational institution Financial management experience – creating and managing budgets, managing cash flow Knowledge or experience in HR and Employment law Experience in contract and compliance management Proven track record in developing and directing high performing teams Experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders Effective communication skills Institution Description AFSA is a PrK-12 public charter school with locations in Vadnais Heights and Little Canada, which serves students from the northeast metro area of the Twin Cities. AFSA engages learners in academically rigorous, student-centered, hands-on experiences and leadership opportunities within a science, environmental education, and agricultural context.
