Our infrastructure powers search features across a variety of Apple products, including Apple Intelligence, Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages, and multi-modal Lookup.
As part of this group, you will work with one of the most exciting high-performance computing environments, with petabytes of data, millions of queries per second, and have an opportunity to imagine and build products that delight our customers every single day.
Description As a member of the team you'll have the opportunity to work with specialists in their field enabling software feature development delivering Apple Intelligence to customers.
This position requires a proactive engineer with strong technical skills to handle responsibilities including:
Prototyping new ideas to help with initial feature definitionImplementing Swift frameworks that adhere to defined API contractsCollaborating with our product cross-functional teamsParticipating in architecture and code reviewsBuilding internal engineering tools as necessaryMinimum Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience with Swift programming; ObjC is a plusExpertise in working with concurrency primitivesUnderstanding of client/server architecturesProficiency with Apple developer toolsComfort with large codebases and practical solutionsKnowledge of software patterns that allow for testingExcellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently as well as in a teamPreferred Qualifications Experience with Networking stack, CDNs, Asset Delivery is a plusExperience with Performance Profiling and Optimization techniques is a plusExperience with telemetry, defining and measuring SLAs is a plusAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
