Position Summary: The Asset Manager is accountable for equipment documentation and tracking, utilization reporting, process control, and master data integrity of the asset management system. Responsible for recording all company asset transfers in the company.
Engage in professional development courses and training.Perform other related duties as required.Implement processes related to fixed asset acquisition and safeguarding of company assets.Coordinate and/or conduct physical inventories of company fixed assets.Assist in the transfer, disposal, and sale of assets to ensure decisions align with business needs.Maintain an accurate list of company fixed assets by location.Maintain a database of equipment in the Asset Management system, ensuring all asset master data requirements, critical asset data, and necessary inspection and service maintenance criteria are met. Communicate with management to facilitate documentation requirements when needed.Support and maintain the database maintenance program for light-duty assets and coordinate with management to ensure compliance.Coordinate and communicate with accounting, procurement, and the DOT department to maintain accuracy in inter-office records.Perform other duties as assigned.Education, Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management preferred, plus 3+ years of related experience.Fleet experience and substantial experience in transportation industrial safety.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Proficiency with computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong oral and written communication skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Willingness to travel.Sensitivity to confidential information.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Mental and Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; climb up and down stairs; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; bend or stoop; squat or crouch; kneel; push or pull; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Minimal safety hazards; general office working conditions.Ability to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats when needed.Strong physical and mental health to maintain a demanding workload.Ability to work under stressful conditions at times.Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships and maintain them over time.Demonstrate strong work ethics of integrity and honesty and strive for excellence in all activities, employing effective communication.Dependable, reliable, and capable of fulfilling responsibilities.
