JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee holistic digital media activation strategy (Display, Online Video, Native, Paid Search, Paid Social and Content Distribution) to ensure it's delivering on Business Goals under the advisement of the Sr. Director, Integrated Media Activation. Responsibilities include audience activation, including personalization, and dynamic creative implementation. Oversee the personalization journey as it pertains to digital paid media. Lead cross-channel optimization strategies in collaboration with the channel leaders and the media analytics team. This position requires the ability to understand the marketplace/media industry, internal client needs, and state-of-the business (short and long term).
Partner with the Sr. Director, Integrated Media Planning to deliver necessary information for budget management, reconciliation and forecasting requirements needed to deliver accurate plans to the Business.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cross-Channel Media Oversight
• Guide the holistic digital media strategy to make sure it's delivering on goals.
• Oversee the partnership between Digital Media and Media Analytics, advising on reporting, optimizations and cross-channel shifts as needed.
• Oversee the delivery of complete and accurate weekly optimizations to the Business stakeholders.
• Lead discussions on strategy shifts needed as a result of business pivots.
• Represent digital media in departmental meetings where business results are being shared.
• Review and approve reporting share outs in partnership with the Sr. Director.
Leadership
• Lead, mentor and motivate reporting team members, aiding in career development opportunities.
Media Personalization Development
• Oversee the Audience Activation strategy for Digital Media, including personalization enhancements.
• Oversee the development and implementation of a dynamic creative strategy.
Internal/External Relationship Management
• Own all requests to legal, privacy and the AI board on behalf of Digital Media.
• Shephard any process refinements between Digital Media and internal partners as needed.
Media Strategy Partner
• Gather necessary elements from Digital Media teams for forecasting and planning.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree: Marketing, Business Administration, or Computer Science or related required.
EXPERIENCE:
9+ years' prior hands-on experience media planning and buying; proficiency and experience working across various media types and platforms; strong communication and collaboration skills; in-depth understanding of the media marketplace required
8+ years of work experience in a digital and/or cross-channel analytics role
5+ years of people management experience.
Solid understanding and work experience with Digital Media planning and buying process.
Understanding of programmatic, search, social, native, video, display, and other digital advertising channels (understanding of offline channels is a plus).
Experience managing analytics teams and overseeing client analytics engagements.
Understanding of syndicated research tools and various research methodologies.
Experience in leading measurement and analytics platforms: Data Studio, Social Measurement systems, and native measurement tools within G4, DSPs.
