JOB SUMMARY:

Working knowledge of General Ledger functions/SAP, including journal entries; audit review; accounting analysis and reporting; accounts reconciliations (Detail-line-item on accounts of Short-Receivable- transactions flow on Credit Card, Gift Card & Hotel Charges) Including assist with Refund & CBs. Functionally supports the Supervisor or Sr Cost Analyst, and/or Senior Financial Assistants to monitor Payments/Refund transactions postings and reconcile Details of transactions to support G/L accounts postings per company policy and requirements. Support closing procedures, account reconciliations, (POS vs. Settlement and G/L activity & analysis, as needed. Must use good judgment to prioritize work and balance routine and project-related job tasks.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Intermediate to complex audits and account reconciliations using various financial systems. Daily data entry for various revenue sources.
Perform periodic posting functions including G/L reconciliations; assemble micros POS vs, Settlement match to identify variances and action plan to support G/L correction/analysis; prepare reporting & balance sheet support (BSS); to support an adjust to sales as required.
Research document errors and general inquiries; escalate discrepancies as appropriate. Assist with internal & external audits, and invoice & inventory validation. Month-end accounting duties as assigned.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or GED is required.
Technical school is preferred.
Associates degree (AA) is preferred in Finance or Accounting.
Bachelor's degree is preferred in Accounting or Finance.

EXPERIENCE:

2+ years general accounting and office experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
