Reporting to the Chief Counsel, Benefits & Executive Compensation, you will be responsible for a wide variety of benefits and executive compensation related matters drawing on your expertise in federal labor (especially ERISA), tax and securities law.

We will count on you to: Advise our business leaders regarding benefits and executive compensation risks in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
Assist in the preparation of disclosure regarding benefits and executive compensation to meet our obligations as a public company.
Work with other practice members in supporting our global HR and Finance colleagues as they manage existing benefit programs, maintain their compliance in the face of changing law and regulations, and evaluate and implement new benefit programs.
Assist with executive compensation and equity compensation design, administration and compliance as needed including stock and incentive plans and related agreements.
Review benefit and executive compensation-related communications from an ERISA fiduciary and/or plan sponsor perspective.
Work as part of a team adjudicating and responding to ERISA benefit claims.
What you need to have: Law Degree with a minimum of 2 years of Benefits and Executive Compensation experience Similar experience working in a top-tier law firm or in a large, complex multinational enterprise.
Advisory experience for ERISA fiduciaries and their delegates on meeting their obligations under ERISA.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office.
All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.
Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $156,100 to $312,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
