Summary
The Production Procurement Assistant Manager collaborates with management in the logistics procurement of goods and services in the US East Coast subsidiaries in Alabama & Georgia, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition and maintaining the highest quality standards.
The Assistant Manager will support the procurement of logistic products and services using the subsidiary's combined purchasing power to apply economies of scale, improving supplier management, cross-functional collaboration, cost savings, and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities Overall Procurement Activities Assisting in establishing a comprehensive procurement strategy for the East Coast subsidiaries, including automotive parts transportation, C/C, shuttle transportation, etc.
Contribute to the creation of standard transportation costs for production logistics Assisting in the development and implementation of procurement processes for automotive parts transportation, warehousing, outsourcing consolidation center, shuttle transportation, material handling, and logistics-related equipment, labor, etc.
Aid in the creation of long-term procurement strategies for vendor outsourcing and servicesManaging the potential automotive logistics vendor pool and standardizing all subsidiaries' processes Supporting overall RFX processes, cost management, contract management, vendor management, and evaluationAssisting in supporting sales activities of each subsidiary through obtaining quotations from vendors Collaborating with management on the unique and specific procurement requirements of subsidiary logistics Assisting in establishing a standard cost management system for each subsidiary and securing unit price competitiveness Responsible for the management of the GPMS in East Coast procurement activities.
