About the Role The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their team.
The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor to the executive team, with a primary focus on legal transactional work and contracts management.
This role also includes serving as the Director of Compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines, and overseeing the enterprise risk management program.
Responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel at the company include reviewing contracts and commercial leases, implementing efficient contracting processes, developing and maintaining agency policies, and managing the risk management function.
The role requires collaboration with outside counsel on litigation and the development and maintenance of legal databases.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, capable of handling a large volume of projects, and have excellent writing and communication skills.
Experience with contract management software is a plus.
Candidates for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have approximately 5 years' of related legal experience, with a J.D.
from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
Experience in employment law is a plus.
The role demands a professional who is adept at legal transactions and contract management, and who can eventually manage a Legal Compliance Specialist.
