Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Associate Product Line Manager, Commercial Property and Specialty Lines in our Product Development team.
The Product Development team is responsible for managing commercial property and casualty insurance products for Sompo Insurance.
The Associate Product Line Manager will be responsible for providing a wide range of support to the Product Development team which includes corporate governance, product development, and state filings for commercial insurance products across Sompo North America Insurance operations.
Location: This position may be based out of our Charlotte, NC, New York, NY or Morristown, NJ offices.

Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you'll be doing: Supporting the Technical Product Line Managers with a focus primarily on Commercial Property and exposure to Inland Marine, Ocean Marine and other Specialty products.
This includes research to support product maintenance, LCM/rate reviews, new product development and ongoing maintenance associated with designated lines of business.
Supporting the state filings process, in form and template development, in preparing, updating and publication of required documents including manuals, and other related items.
Providing operational and underwriting support by assisting in the distribution process for alerts, notices and other materials, developing underwriting guidelines, training, and tools that contribute to company compliance and reinforce underwriting standards.
Assisting in the Management Initiated/Underwriting audit process to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
This includes audit preparation, monitoring of audit recommendations and updating audit dashboards.
What you'll bring: College degree and /or industry designation a plus (i.e.
AINS, CPCU preferred) 4 + years' experience in underwriting commercial lines of business with emphasis on designated lines of business as noted above.
Solid foundation in insurance underwriting and/or insurance operations Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
