Privately owned Avian & Exotic Pet practice in western suburbs of Chicago is seeking a full time Veterinarian This progressive exotics practice provides the best of both worlds, being a high quality primary care facility for a well-established client base and holistic care center for dogs, cats and exotics. Over 95% of our patients are avian and exotic pet species, while the remaining few percent are dog and cat holistic care patients. This privately owned practice is housed in our own free-standing facility providing the latest in avian and exotic pet diagnostics and medicine. We have a dedicated support staff who work efficiently assisting our doctors as a cohesive team. Our veterinary technicians are well established, being with Ness Exotic for at least 3 to 12 years. Our Technician to Veterinarian ratio is regularly 2 to 1. Our staff is readily prepared and capable to assist our doctors by performing diagnostic testing and providing treatments, as well as obtaining thorough case history and providing extensive client education. Our entire team maintains a strong foundation in high quality conventional diagnostics and therapy for all of our patients. The hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and digital thermography. In addition, we integrate a variety of holistic modalities to complement the care of our patients, including herbal therapy, Traditional Chinese medicine, nutraceuticals, Laser therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care. Although training and experience in holistic modalities is not required, an open-minded attitude and willingness to incorporate the benefits of alternative therapies available is a necessity. Several of our staff veterinarians have advanced training in many of the integrative modalities to care for our patients.
