With a clean inventory and the recent signing of some large fleet accounts, the dealership is expanding its service department, driving significant growth in the parts division. The dealer is looking for an organized, process-driven Parts Manager who can implement the proper policies and procedures for long-term growth and success. Moreover, it is important that the Parts Manager hired excels at training and developing their team. The current team is solid but includes some "greener" staff who are eager to learn from a coach and mentor. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians have the parts they need for timely repairs. The role of a dealership Parts Manager is critical to the smooth operation of the dealership's service and repair functions and the satisfaction of customers who rely on the availability of parts for their vehicles. It is important that the Parts Manager hired is able to balance inventory management, customer service, and profitability while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:Direct supervision over all parts department operations; hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all department staffWorks with sales and service department managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobsMaintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, wholesale accounts, and direct publicMonitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescencePrepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts departmentProcess daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including analysis of sales, expenses, and inventory to maintain profit goalsMonitors and verifies parts department employees' payroll records and time logsSupervises stock order proceduresAccurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to dateOperates and oversees maintaining all departmental tools and equipment in good working orderComplies with and enforces all company safety policies, procedures, and best practicesMaintain a professional appearance and workspace at all timesEnsure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct locationForecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet themCoordinate and dispatch daily deliveries to wholesale customers near and far.Utilized catalog/ordering systems offered by car manufacturers for wholesale customers to use.Nurture and grow existing accounts by providing exceptional serviceWork with counter and sales representatives daily to maximize growth opportunities at all accountsManages customer complaints or issues immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines, with the highest level of professionalismUnderstands and complies with federal, state, and local regulationsOther duties as requiredCompensation:Compensation package will be in the $90,000 range at current volume, with significant room for growth.Full benefits package providedApply:Please apply with your most recent resume on at www.automotivesearchgroup.com; or call Lindsay at ******** today for more information.
