Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune database performance to meet the needs of our applications and business processes. Security: Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards and regulations. Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and query optimization. Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support database requirements, including schema design and query optimization. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, procedures, and best practices. Upgrades and Patching: Manage database upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Automation: Implement automation solutions to streamline database management tasks and improve efficiency. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL DBA and ETL with a strong focus on Azure SQL Database management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server, NoSQL, Azure SQL Database, and T-SQL. Experience with PowerShell scripting and Azure Data Factory is a plus. Performance Tuning: Proven expertise in performance tuning, index management, and query optimization. Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
