Banquet managers are also responsible for all aspects of supervision of banquet staff including: hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and reviewing staff.Join our Pack:  •Grow your career: A great place to start or advance your career with cross-training, scholarship fund, and talent development programs at all levels •Great Perks: Take advantage of exclusive perks for you, your family, and friends – including discounted vacations and employee referral incentives •Learn While You Earn: Gain access to Great Wolf University for on-the-job training, functional, and leadership training •Prioritize Your Well-Being: We offer flexible scheduling, access to a holistic wellness program and technology, and support through our Employee Assistance Program and Employee Relief Fund •Celebrate Your Uniqueness: Join a team that cheers for diversity and inclusion through programs that make everyone feel welcome and recognized. Benefits:  •Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance •Health savings account •Telehealth resources •Life insurance •401K with employer match •Paid vacation time off •Paid parental leave Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage personnel processes including; hiring, scheduling and training banquet staff in the proper techniques and etiquette for American, French, and buffet and parade types of serviceDefine banquet staff performance requirements and develop action plans for achievement of goalsMonitor staff attendance according to schedules, adjust and reassign server stations, as necessary, in order to provide quality service during functionsSupervise the set up of function rooms and visibly inspect to ensure set-up meets the specifications of the clientOversee the clean up process of function room and proper breakdown and storage of all equipmentEffectively communicate during the course of the function with the kitchen, service, beverage, conventions services, and engineering staffs, as well as the guest host to ensure timely execution of events, quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standardsProcess billing information using a POS system with accuracy and attention to detailProcess payroll for each event, which includes calculating number of hours worked, and gratuity distributionMaintain inventory of supplies and linens for functions with approval of the Food & Beverage DirectorAssists servers and captains with the execution of events according to the event order and Great Lake Co. quality standards.Attendance in, and conformance with, Great Lake Co. rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilitiesBasic Qualifications & SkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years supervisory experience in food & beverageComprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquettePrior experience ensuring safe work environment in compliance with appropriate regulations (i.e. - Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communication Plans)Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demandsSuccessful completion of criminal background check and drug screenDesired Qualifications & TraitsPrevious Banquet supervisory experienceStrong leadership skills and proven teamworkProjects professional image that inspires trust and confidenceEnthusiastic and positive energyMulti-tasking abilityPhysical RequirementsAble to lift up to 30 lbs.Able to bend, stretch, and twistAble to stand for long periods of timeApplication Instructions  We are hiring immediately, with relocation packages available.
